pull up a chair

Hi friend. We're so glad you stopped by. We hope this is a place where you can find refreshment and encouragement on your journey. We're a group of friends working through the messiness of (in)fertility, pregnancy, loss, and parenting littles all while trying our best to love each other and Jesus well. We're not afraid of walking through the muck and mire with each other (or you). We're honest and real and won't sugar coat the struggle; but we're also bursting at the seams to celebrate the joys.

So pull up a chair and join us.

who are we?

We're a group of women in our late 20s who are walking through life with each other. We met through a life group at our church and have grown into the closest of friends. We love Jesus and each other, but we're all pretty different and frequently have very different view points.

No matter where you find yourself in your journey and no matter how you view this world, you're likely to see a bit of yourself mirrored here. Because we're all in this together.

About the Title

"'And I will be to her a wall of fire all around,' declares the Lord, "and I will be the glory in her midst.'"

This verse comes out of Zechariah chapter 2. The "she" in the verse is actually the city of Jerusalem. In this passage Jerusalem is described as a city with no walls due to the multitudes and prosperity within. But she is not unguarded. The Lord himself is a wall of fire around her, and the glory within her. What a beautiful picture. We can let down our carefully constructed walls because the Lord is our protection. And when we are open, vulnerable, and real, the Lord can showcase his glory in our lives.
